Price: $7.85(As of Fri, 03 Sep 2010) What Customers Think: Product Overview and Summary Adorable plush pillow uses the sound of a heartbeat to calm and sooth an anxious puppy or dog. The pillow contains a heartbeat mechanism that can be turned on as desired or removed for washing. It provides a great way to reduce separation anxiety in dogs and/or ease the transition into a new home for a puppy. Customer Experience and Opinions Nice chew toy, July 23 ,2010 LEB (Near Gainesville, FL) thinks that: My now 4 month old cocker spaniel puppy enjoys playing with this everyday. We call it her "pillow". WARNING! In my opinion, this toy should not be given unsupervised to a puppy over 8 weeks or so. First of all, the heart beat sound freaked my puppy out rather than relaxing her. Secondly, after a week or so, she was able to pull apart the velcro and expose the mechanical unit inside. I felt that made it very unsafe. I performed heart surgery and simply removed that unit for good - it pulls right out and you squeeze the velcro back together. Now, this is one of her favorite toys to "kill". She takes it in her mouth and shakes it like crazy. This and one other toy are the only things she does that with. If she didn't enjoy it so much, I would have had to give this a much lower rating.
Great Idea - puppy wanted to eat it, April 29 ,2010 JK in Belmont says that: I love the idea, but my puppy wanted to eat it. (of course) So, I had to keep it outside the crate. He was able to quickly undo the velcro and expose the plastic box inside with the batteries etc. And, it shuts off pretty quickly, so it never did what I was hoping - which was provide a nice heartbeat sound while he was acclimating to his crate.
HEARTBEAT, March 18 ,2010 Linda Heffern (Danville, CA, US) says: PERFECT COMFORT TOY FOR PUPPIES. MINE LEARNED TO PUSH ON IT TO MAKE IT BEAT. SHE LOVES IT.
