Finally, a bed for dogs who chew on stuff! This bed's unique design tucks the fabric panel inside a PVC frame - safely hidden away from teeth. Practically eliminates chewed edges and keeps your dog up and off of hard, cold surfaces. Forest Green Cordura nylon canvas (note: Cordura will puddle if rained on). Lightweight, non-corrosive, ideal for outdoor or indoor use. Easy to clean. Medium bed is 35" x 23" and weighs 6 lbs. How are the beds chew proof? -- Any place the fabric is in a position to be chewed, it is protected by a poly-resin sleeve. There are no corner gaps to bite. Once in a while a dog will bite through a leg or side piece but it is quite rare. We don't guarantee that your dog can't/won't chew or bite through the pieces and parts but if your dog does, you can easily replace the damaged parts by contacting the manufacturer. Can dogs dig through the fabric? -- Yes, a determined dog can dig through the fabric. If you have a 'digger', the Kuranda bed may not be for you. How much weight can a bed support? -- We have customers with dogs that weigh over 130 pounds using the Kuranda bed. Bed Return Policy: Provided it is in new condition (no scratches or scuffs on the frame), a bed may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund of the purchase price minus a $7.00 fabric charge as we cannot reuse the fabric no matter how little it was used. I have owned two of these Kuranda beds (large sizes) for my large outside dogs. These beds have been used daily for many years and still look new. They are extremely durable and the dogs love them. I use a pet pad that is smooth on one side for summer, and fleece on the other side for winter. I vacuum them and wipe them with a damp cloth and that's all the maintanence they need. I have the poly frame.
I am purchasing a smaller size for my cats.

I purchased this bed for my boxer after reading a review on another website saying it would be good for chewers. I have owned it now for 2 months. My boxer pup, now 7 months, has not chewed on it at all. In fact, he has spent several nights jumping on it, and it is still holding strong. The real test will come when he reaches his anticipated weight, between 75 and 90lbs. As of right now, he is 50lbs. I recommend this item for people whose pet will probably reach no more than about 70lbs. Once that limit is reached, there's no telling how long it will last.

I have had the same large size Kuranda bed for 3 years, had many dogs try it out, and haven't found a dog yet who does not LOVE it. The raised structure makes it very clear to a dog where he is supposed to be if you choose to train a "stay there" command using the bed. The design makes it very difficult for a dog to chew on the fabric, and while he may gnaw at the PVC frame, he probably won't be able to do much damage. I have left it in kennels with many different dogs, and no damage. I'm on-line today to purchase a larger one for use with some extra-large breeds I'm expecting in classes soon. If you have had to replace chewed up dog beds in the past, you will find this very cost-effective because you won't be replacing it frequently. I occasionally spray lightly with an all-purpose cleaner and hose it off, leave it in the sun to dry. The fabric doesn't easily pick up doggy smells, so it is a pretty low maintenance bed.

It's the only bed I will ever provide in kennel.
