This bed is very thin. The insert doesn't completely fill the cover leaving the cover loose. Because it is only half filled it makes it dangerous if you step on it accidently because it slides. It absolutely doesn't look like the picture. You would have to have two or three inserts to get it to look like the picture.

Bought this after many disappointing beds from various stores. I ordered the XL for my 85 lb. yellow lab. She has ample room. I probably could have ordered a L and been okay. The color is great and her hair does not show. It has stayed plump and she has no desire to chew it, unlike the poly filled ones I have bought. I haven't washed it yet as it has not needed it. My dog loves this bed. It has kept her from the furniture.
